Special Board Meeting
October 3, 2005
Clerk Montgomery called the Special Board Meeting to order at
6:30 p.m. in the Township Hall.
Pledge of Allegiance was led by the Board of Trustees.
MEMBERS PRESENT Clerk Montgomery, Trustee Martin, Trustee
Orange and Trustee O’Steen.
MEMBERS ABSENT Supervisor Parker, Treasurer
Williams and Trustee Carter
Motioned by Montgomery second by Martin that Trustee O’Steen
Chair the Meeting in the absence of Supervisor Parker. Motion
carried unanimously.
AWARDS/PRESENTATIONS None
AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION Steve Heater
Motioned by Martin second by Orange to open the public
hearing at 6:30 p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
(10-03-01-05) Motioned by Martin second by Orange to hold
a public hearing for the proposed special assessment district
for Towerline Road Water Main, which will be held at 6:30-6:45
p.m. at the Buena Vista Charter Township Hall, 1160 S. Outer
Drive, Saginaw, MI 48601. Motion carried unanimously.
Motioned by Montgomery second by Martin to close the public
hearing at 6:50 p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
Motioned by Martin second by Orange to adopt a resolution to
proceed with the Special Assessment District of the Towerline
Water Main. Motion carried unanimously by roll call vote.
Motioned by Martin second by Montgomery to recommend that the
Board of Trustees adopt a second resolution to set up the second
public hearing on October 17, 2005 at 6:30 p.m. Motion carried
unanimously by roll call vote.
(10-03-02-05) Motioned by Orange second by O’Steen to
discuss the Saginaw County Farmland Preservation Program with
guest speaker Dennis Mahoney, Vision 2020. Motioned carried
unanimously.
Mr. Williams stated that Dennis Mahoney would not be able to
attend the meeting tonight and that he asked that he would be on
the next agenda at the Regular scheduled Board meeting.
ADJOURNMENT: Motioned by Martin second by Montgomery to
adjourn the meeting at 7.00 p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
