Regular Board Meeting
October 10, 2005

Supervisor Parker called the Board Meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. in the Township Hall.

Pledge of Allegiance was led by the Board of Trustees.

MEMBERS PRESENT Supervisor Parker, Clerk Montgomery, Treasurer Williams, Trustee Martin, Trustee Carter, Trustee Orange and Trustee O’Steen.

MEMBERS ABSENT None

(10-10-01-05) Motioned by Orange second by Martin for the approval of the

September 26, 2005 Regular Board Meeting Minutes and the October 3, 2005 Special Board Meeting Minutes of the Buena Vista Charter Township Board of Trustees. Motion carried unanimously.

(10-10-02-05) Motioned by Martin second by O’Steen for approval to review and approve the statements for accounts payable and payroll as listed below:

General Fund $148,333.78

Sewer Fund $ 22,557.60

Water Fund $ 25,203.13

Motion carried unanimously by roll call vote.

Motioned by Martin second by Montgomery to accept agenda items 10-10-03-05 through 10-10-08-05 collectively. Motion carried unanimously.

(10-10-03-05) Motioned by Martin second by Montgomery to receive and file the September 2005 Monthly Report for the Buena Vista Charter Township Police Department. Motion carried unanimously.

(10-10-04-05) Motioned by Martin second by Montgomery to receive and file the September 2005 monthly report for Buena Vista Charter Township Community Development Department. Motion carried unanimously.

(10-10-05-05) Motioned by Martin second by Montgomery to receive and file the September 2005 monthly report for the Buena Vista Charter Township Fire Department. Motion carried unanimously.

(10-10-06-05) Motioned by Martin second by Montgomery to receive and file the monthly reports for the BVCT Department of Public Works and Water Department for August and September 2005. Motion carried unanimously.

(10-10-07-05) Motioned by Martin second by Montgomery to receive and file the monthly report for the BVCT Waste Water & Sewer Department for August 2005. Motion carried unanimously.

(10-10-08-05) Motioned by Martin second by Montgomery to receive and file the BVCT Parks and Recreation Department monthly report for September 2005. Motion carried unanimously.

Supervisor Parker: I had the pleasure on last week attending the Michigan Township Association Township Supervisors Fall Conference which was held in Frankenmuth. I just have some leisure reading for the Board members. I always try to bring back something to read that is pertinent for the Board.

Mr. Williams: I have two. One is a packet that is before you. I have attended the Governmental Conference on Managing Performance last week with Governor Granholm, which was the keynote speaker. It was very informative with very practical information that we can implement here in Buena Vista. Two, it is regarding the 2006 Budget. I’ll have that at least the first draft presented to the Board at next Monday’s Special Board Meeting.
