Supervisor Parker called the Board Meeting to order at 7:00
p.m. in the Township Hall.
Pledge of Allegiance was led by the Board of Trustees.

(08-28-01-06) Motioned by Orange second by Martin for the
approval of the
August 14, 2006 Regular Board Meeting Minutes of the Buena
Vista Charter Township Board of Trustees. Motion carried
unanimously.
(08-28-02-06) Motioned by Montgomery second by Martin for
approval to review and approve the statements for accounts
payable and payroll as listed below:
General Fund $211,372.68
Sewer Fund $ 44,882.43
Water Fund $ 52,678.42
Motion carried unanimously by roll call vote.
(08-28-03-06) Motioned by Carter second by Martin to
approve to adopt the resolution regarding the authorization to
submit a Community Development Block Grant through Michigan
Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) Infrastructure Capacity
Enhancement Program. Motion carried unanimously by roll call
vote.
(08-28-04-06) Motioned by Carter second by Orange to
approve the application of Dawana Rodriquez to fill the vacant
business representative seat for the Citizens District Council.
Motion carried unanimously by roll call vote.
(08-28-05-06) Motioned by Martin second by Carter to
approve the resolution honoring Pal Malone as the 17th
recipient of Buena Vista Charter Township’s "80th"
Milestone Award. Motion carried unanimously by roll call vote.
(08-28-06-06) Motioned by Martin second by Orange to
approve the resolution honoring Maudena Johnson as the 18th
recipient of Buena Vista Charter Township’s "80th
Milestone Award. Motion carried unanimously by roll call vote.
(08-28-07-06) Motioned by Martin second by Carter to
receive and file letter from the Department of Natural Resources
Land and Water Conservation Fund regarding Buena Vista Lions
Park Improvements grant application that will be considered for
recommendation s in October 2006. Motion carried unanimously by
roll call vote.
(08-28-08-06) Motioned by Carter second by Martin to
receive and file the monthly report from Saginaw Area Storm
Water Authority for July 2006. Motion carried unanimously.
(08-28-09-06) Motioned by Carter second by Martin to
receive and file the flyer from Chamber of Commerce, "The
Results are in". A look at the results from the University of
Michigan Dioxin Exposure Study on Thursday, September 7, 2006 at
the Horizon’s Conference Center at 7:30 – 9:30 a.m. Motion
carried unanimously.
Motioned by Martin second by Orange to move agenda item
08-28-10-06 to the very last agenda item on the agenda. Motion
carried unanimously.
Motioned by Martin second by Carter to add agenda items
08-28-11-06 through 08-28-13-06 to the agenda. Motion carried
unanimously.
(08-28-11-06) Motioned by Carter second by Martin to
approve to sell Buena Vista Charter Township owned parcel
#10-12-5-17-1144-000; Section 17, Town 12 North, Range 5 East,
for the amount of $100.00 plus filing and administration fees of
not less than $25.00; to Jerry Jr., and Corry M. Corral of 1309
North 29th Street. This parcel is located at rear of
buyers home who are seeking to expand their existing property.

(08-28-12-06) Motioned by Carter second by Martin to
approve to sell Buena Vista Charter Township owned parcel
#10-12-5-20-1175-000; Section 20, Town 12 North, Range 5 East,
for the amount of $300.00 plus filing and administration fees of
not less than $25.00; to Mr. Eugene A. Bates of 449 South 21st
Street. This parcel is located on the SW corner of Wadsworth and
N. 25th Street and consists of 3 Lots. Buyer is
seeking to build or locate Twp. Approved modular or stick-built
home on this property. Motion carried unanimously by roll call
vote.
(08-28-13-06) Motioned by Carter second by Martin to
approve to sell Buena Vista Charter Township owned parcel
#10-12-5-29-1395-000; Section 29, Town 12 North, Range 5 East
for the amount of $100.00 plus filing and administration fees of
not less than $25.00; to Ruby D. Lyle 905 South 26th
Street. This parcel is located to the immediate South of buyers
home, who is seeking to expand her property and better care for
the adjacent lot. Motion carried unanimously by roll vote.
The Board of Trustees proceeded to vote on appointing the new
Board of Trustee member to the Buena Vista Charter Township
Board of Trustees.

The Board of Trustees appoints Mr. Gilbert Ritter to the
Buena Vista Charter Township Board of Trustees.
(08-28-10-06) Motioned by Martin second by Montgomery to
go into a Closed Session meeting to discuss the results of the
Township Manager’s Annual Evaluation. Motion carried
unanimously.
The Board of Trustees went into Closed Session at 7:40 p.m.
Motioned by Martin second by Montgomery to reconvene the
Regular Board Meeting at 7:55 p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
Motioned by Martin second by Carter to recommend that the
Township Manager’s Evaluation be accepted and approved. Motion
carried unanimously by roll call vote.
SUPERVISOR’S REPORT
Supervisor Parker: I didn’t get a chance to get these in the
Board packets so I will just hand them out. Just take one of
each and we are going to be discussing it in great detail at a
later date.
MANAGER’S REPORT
Mr. Williams: I have just one: The 2006 Customer Complaint
Log that you have before you and basically what you have is
updates with resolutions from January through July 2006. There
will be more updates coming next month.
NEW BUSINESS
Clerk Montgomery swears in the new appointed Board of Trustee
member, Mr. Gilbert Ritter to the Buena Vista Charter Township
Board of Trustees.
ADJOURNMENT: Motioned by Martin second by Orange to
adjourn the meeting at 8:00 p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
