SUPERVISOR’S REPORT
Supervisor Parker: Just a few things that came in the mail
and I didn’t get a chance to get it in the Board packets. One
has to do with the 2006 Leadership Summit and the other is just
an announcement as it relates to the portion of Weaver and
Blanchard. Lastly, we have a vacancy I believe which is within
our Planning Commission. I want to make an announcement now if
the Board has or know of anyone that maybe interested they can
receive and application from the Clerk’s Department and make
sure those applications goes to the Manager.
CLERK’S REPORT
Clerk Montgomery: The only thing that I have is that it’s
that time of year again, Elections. So I just wanted to make
sure everybody and anyone that is not registered to get
registered. There is a deadline and this is a very important
Election. I just want all of the citizens to be ready and I want
everyone to get out a vote.
BOARD OF TRUSTEES
Trustee Martin: First of all, to you Mr. Manager. When can we
expect a new modified report coming from the Community Center as
it relates to how many people use the exercise room and the on
going update on the equipment and number of rental. When can we
expect that after you hire the Director? Just want to know.
Chief Booker – interesting comment by saying there is more
people than 10,000 in Buena Vista. I’ve always felt that we have
more than 10,000 people. So I’m wondering is there any way that
we can find out just about exactly how many people that resides
in Buena Vista? Is there any way to find out how many people we
got?
MANAGER’S REPORT
Mr. Williams: I just want to update the Board that we have
five (5) 198 Tax Abatements Request coming in October and we
will probably have a special meeting to discuss a possible Tax
Abatement Policy as well as the discussing the Budget process at
the beginning of October that will be forthcoming.
ADJOURNMENT: Motioned by Montgomery second by Carter to
adjourn the meeting at 8:00 p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
RESPECTFULLY SUBMITTED BY
BARBARA MONTGOMERY, TOWNSHIP CLERK
DULY ATTESTED BY
DWAYNE PARKER, TOWNSHIP SUPERVISOR
