Special Board Meeting
October 2, 2006

Clerk Montgomery called the Special Board Meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. in the Township Hall.

Pledge of Allegiance was led by the Board of Trustees.

MEMBERS PRESENT Clerk Montgomery, Trustee Martin, Trustee Carter, Trustee Orange and Trustee Ritter.

MEMBERS ABSENT Supervisor Parker and Treasurer Williams

Motioned by Martin second by Orange that Clerk Montgomery Chair the Meeting in the absence of Supervisor Parker. Motion carried unanimously.

AWARDS/PRESENTATIONS None

AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION None

(10-02-01-06) Motioned by Carter second by Martin to discuss and approve a Buena Vista Charter Township IFT Tax Abatement Policy. Motion carried unanimously by roll call vote.

The Board of Trustees discussed the IFT Tax Abatement Policy.

The Township Manager recommends approval of the IFT Tax Abatement Policy with corrections.

Motion by Martin second by Ritter to discuss and approve the Buena Vista Charter Township IFT Tax Abatement Policy as presented with the exception of the company receiving an additional three years when new jobs are filled by the Buena Vista Charter Township residents at 25% or more and the abatement shall be granted no more than twelve (12) years and with the additional of working cooperatively with Buena Vista School District on education programs which would aide and develop future workforce for the schooling industry. Motion carried unanimously by roll call vote with Trustee Carter and Trustee Orange voting no.

(10-02-02-06) Motioned by Martin second by Carter to discuss the Proposed 2007 Budget Plan. Motioned carried unanimously by roll call vote.

The Board of Trustees discussed the Proposed 2007 Budget Plan.

ADJOURNMENT: Motioned by Martin second by Montgomery to adjourn the meeting at 7:30 p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
