Regular Board Meeting
September 10, 2007
Supervisor Parker called the Board Meeting to order at 7:00
p.m. in the Township Hall.
Pledge of Allegiance was led by the Board of Trustees.
MEMBERS PRESENT Supervisor Parker, Clerk Montgomery,
Treasurer Williams, Trustee Martin and Trustee Ritter.
MEMBERS ABSENT Trustee Carter and Trustee Orange
AWARDS/PRESENTATIONS Louise Wilson, Owner of Dixie Couch

(09-10-01-07) Motioned by Martin second by Ritter for the
approval of the
August 27, 2007 Regular Board Meeting Minutes of the Buena
Vista Charter Township Board of Trustees. Motion carried
unanimously.
(09-10-02-07) Motioned by Martin second by Ritter for
approval to review and approve the statements for accounts
payable and payroll as listed below:
General Fund $176,345.36
Sewer Fund $ 13,470.74
Water Fund $ 16,696.69
Motion carried unanimously by roll call vote.
(09-10-03-07) Motioned by Montgomery second by Martin to
approve the recommended 2007 Budget Amendment for General Fund
2007-002. Motion carried unanimously by roll call vote.
(09-10-04-07) Motioned by Montgomery second by Martin to
approve the recommended 2007 Budget Amendment for Fire Fund
2007-003. Motion carried unanimously by roll call vote.
(09-10-05-07) Motioned by Martin second by Montgomery to
approve the recommended 2007 Budget Amendment for Police Fund
2007-004. Motion carried unanimously by roll call vote.
(09-10-06-07) Motioned by Montgomery second by Ritter to
approve the recommended 2007 Budget Amendment for Parks &
Recreation Fund 2007-005. Motion carried unanimously by roll
call vote.
(09-10-07-07) Motioned by Ritter second by Martin to approve
the recommended 2007 Budget Amendment for Water Fund 2007-006.
Motion carried unanimously by roll call vote.
Motioned by Montgomery second by Martin to accept agenda
items 09-10-08-07 through 09-10-11-07 collectively. Motion
carried unanimously.
(09-10-08-07) Motioned by Montgomery second by Martin to
receive and file the August 2007 monthly report for the Buena
Vista Charter Township Fire Department. Motion carried
unanimously.
(09-10-09-07) Motioned by Montgomery second by Martin to
receive and file the monthly report for the Parks and Recreation
Department for August 2007. Motion carried unanimously.
(09-10-10-07) Motioned by Montgomery second by Martin to
receive and file the Buena Vista Charter Community Center
Activities for the month of September 2007. Motion carried
unanimously.
(09-10-11-07) Motioned by Montgomery second by Martin to
receive and file Saginaw County Chamber of Commerce "Business
After Hours" and Member Benefit Breakfast. Motion carried
unanimously.
(09-10-12-07) Motioned by Martin second by Montgomery to
approve the resolution honoring Johnathan Scott as the 30th
recipient of Buena Vista Charter Township’s "80th" Milestone
Award. Motion carried unanimously.
Motioned by Martin second by Ritter to approve to go into
closed session for the purpose of discussing the Teamsters labor
negotiations agreement with Council. Motion carried unanimously.
The Board of Trustees went into closed session at 7:21 p.m.
Motioned by Martin second by Williams to reconvene the
Regular Board Meeting at 7:40 p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
Motioned by Martin second by Montgomery to recommend approval
of the agreement that has been negotiated between Teamsters and
the Buena Vista Charter Township Fire Department. Motion carried
unanimously.
SUPERVISOR’S REPORT
Supervisor Parker: (inaudible). Not to include passing Bill
4780. And then lastly, here’s a weekly update on Michigan
Township’s Association. And just for your pleasure and nothing
more than an announcement given to me, a gospel music showcase
and seminar if you are interested feels free to attend.
CLERK’S REPORT
Clerk Montgomery: I didn’t have a chance to get my copies ran
off, but I just came back from the NATaT Conference and I did
get some good information to share and we’ll have the copies
ready by next meeting.
TREASURER’S REPORT
Treasurer Williams: One reminder is the interest in penalty
of the Summer Tax will be on the 14th. Anything after the 14th
will have an interest fee charge to taxes.
MANAGER’S REPORT
Mr. Williams: I have one. Chief Booker will have the floor to
give a Police Department Update.
ADJOURNMENT: Motioned by Montgomery second by Martin to
adjourn the meeting at 7:51 p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
